New writers join the Bitville team
We are happy to announce that two new colleagues have joined Bitville’s writing team.
Melissa Haug, Ohio born and bred, received her MA in English Philology from the University of Helsinki. Prior to that, Melissa graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, and put her expertise to good use working as a high school English teacher in Ohio, USA.
Melissa says: “I really enjoy that here at Bitville, I get to embrace both pedagogy and creativity, and have the chance to be exposed to different content areas that I would never have come across as an English teacher.”
Also joining us is Petteri Paavilainen, likewise an English Philology MA from the University of Helsinki. With his broad international experience and wide-ranging interests from the social sciences and economics to service design, Petteri is well versed in attentively bridging various kinds of cultural and communicational gaps.
“Joining Bitville and working in a closely collaborative way with highly talented people has been eye-opening,” Petteri explains. “I’m also very excited to work on projects that cover a wide array of topics, from the strictly technical to more ethical and sensitive themes.”
Write on, Melissa and Petteri — welcome to the team!
