Bitville has been growing again

Despite the challenges of 2020, there’s been a wealth of goodness this year for Bitville. Our company is growing and with it, our staff!

The writing team welcomed three new members: Veera Vehmas, Hannes Huhtilainen, and Craig Brelsford.

Veera and Hannes hail from the University of Helsinki with a Master of Arts in English Philology. Their expertise in literary studies brings a new wave of added value to Bitville’s storytelling techniques. With more and more customers requesting strong narration and captivating texts, these two are sure to deliver.

Next of the new writers is Craig Brelsford. Craig’s educational background begins with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Bristol and ends with a PhD in Plant Biology from the University of Helsinki. His extensive knowledge of writing, pedagogy, and project management make him a versatile member of the team, ready to tackle the trickiest of technical texts.

Our graphics team has also grown by two with the additions of Ekaterina Povarenko and Johannes Metsälampi. Both of these graphic designers have backgrounds in UI/UX design, bound to brighten our e-learning landscape.

In addition, Ekaterina offers a wide range of skills with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a specialization in Business Information Technology from Lapland University of Applied Sciences. She’s able to take complex information and transform it into digestible, aesthetically pleasing visualizations.

Coming from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is Johannes. He holds a Bachelor of Culture and Arts through the degree program in media. With a focus on motion graphics, animation, editing, vfx, and storytelling, our e-learnings will engage and delight in totally new ways.

Bitville is also happy to announce the addition of a new role to the team: digital learning consultant. We’ve had a long and successful tradition of serving our customers in whatever their learning needs may be. Now, we can continue meeting these needs in new ways with a digital learning consultant, specialized in designing, and implementing meaningful e-learning solutions.

Spearheading the consultancy position is Marjut Sadeharju. Marjut has a background in international education, professional development and ed-tech at various institutions such as the IB and the University of Helsinki Continuing Education and Development, HY+.

Marjut is driven by a deep love of learning and a keen mind for designing innovative learning paths that meet customers’ needs. In this new position, Marjut will help customers in their digital transformations, learning experience management, and, in mapping out their learning landscapes.

Marjut declares her love for learner-centric design. And good coffee.
