How to use backwards learning design to your business’ benefit

Once you identify a learning need in your company, the next logical thought is “how should we get this training started?"

When it comes to learning design, the best possible approach is to start at the end.

What results do you want to see: more motivated employees? Higher sales? Less safety mishaps? Whatever it is, define some actionable goals and think of these as your destination. Every activity, exercise, or quiz should be necessary pit stops on the way there. If anything veers too far off course, it doesn’t need to be included.
